Every install begins with a walk-through.

Before any hardware ships, our field engineers walk the facility, measure RF behavior in the spaces that matter, and draft a sensor & gateway plan against your floor plan. The output is a deployment package — placements, conduit paths, network requirements — that your team approves before a single drill bit hits a wall.

A QC field engineer visits the facility, measures the spaces that matter, and meets the people who will run the system. No two facilities are the same — and the install plan reflects that from the first visit.

RF coverage analysis

Sample readings at corners, returns, and product faces verify gateway placement before sensors arrive. Walls, dense racking, and metal envelopes are factored in — coverage is engineered, not assumed.

Sensor placement plan

Placements are derived from the spaces' geometry and operating profile — not stuck in convenient corners. Where mapping data exists, placements honor the worst-case behavior the chamber actually shows.

Approved deployment package

Output is a signed deployment package — floor plan, sensor BOM, gateway placement, network requirements, and conduit paths — your team and ours both approve before mobilization day.

Common questions
No - For small or single-room installs (e.g., a ULT freezer room with a <30 sensors and 1-2 gateways), a remote survey using floor plans or data from an existing system is often sufficient. For critical product coverage or any system >100 points, its generally recommended.
A single building typically runs a half-day to a full day onsite. Multi-building campuses or warehouses with complex envelope geometry can run two to three days. The deployment package is delivered within a week of the walk-through.
Gateways need power and a network path — wired ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular failover. The survey captures your IT environment (VLANs, firewall, MAC allow-listing) so the network commissioning is paperwork-only on deployment day, not a surprise.

Every install is run by QC-certified technicians — trained on our hardware families, our commissioning protocol, and the regulatory frameworks the system serves. No subcontracted variance, no learning curve onsite.

Pre-provisioned hardware

Sensors arrive on site with serial numbers pre-registered, gateways pre-configured to your network, and calibration certificates already attached to the asset record. Mobilization day is mounting and verification — not configuration.

Network commissioning

Gateways are integrated to your network — wired ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular failover — with VLANs, MAC allow-listing, and firewall rules verified end-to-end against the IT plan from the survey.

First-reading verification

Each sensor is verified live — packet integrity, RSSI, time sync, and the first valid data point in MySirius. No "we'll check it after we leave" — every device is online and reporting before sign-off.

Common questions
A single-building install with one gateway and 10–25 sensors typically completes in a single day onsite. Multi-building or high-sensor-count campuses run in 2–4 day waves. PQ and validation execution follow after a stabilization period — deployment itself stays compact.
Deployment is engineered to be non-disruptive. Sensors mount with non-marring brackets and require no entry into product zones during operations. Where existing monitoring is being replaced, we run in parallel through commissioning so coverage never lapses.
All field engineers hold QC's internal hardware & protocol certification, plus the customer-side certifications required for GMP, GxP, USDA, and food-grade environments — gowning protocols, allergen control, and visitor-log compliance included.
For minor changes (a moved rack, a relocated sensor), a remote remediation often covers it. For larger changes — new spaces, HVAC retrofits, room reconfigurations — a scoped re-survey and incremental deployment is run, and the original deployment package is updated as part of the asset record.

Every device is verified end-to-end, the data integrity baseline is captured, alarm logic is exercised, and your team is trained on the live system before we leave. Commissioning verifies that the installation matches the deployment package — hardware, network, alarms, and data integrity. Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) verifies that the system meets the regulatory requirements. Commissioning lives in the audit binder as the first row of evidence; validation builds on top of it.
A typical baseline runs 4–24 hours depending on the regulatory framework and the duty cycle of the spaces being monitored. The window is defined in the commissioning protocol, not chosen on the day — so the baseline is reproducible if the system is ever re-commissioned.
Live alarm acknowledgement, on-call escalation, report generation for daily/weekly reviews, asset record updates, and the path to QC's 24/7 response line. Training is hands-on with shift staff on the real system — not a slide deck the day before go-live.
